We process your voluntary details on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Your data will only be processed to process your request. We will delete your data if they are no longer required and there are no legal obligations to retain them. Where the processing of your data which is transmitted via the contact form is based on legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you have the right to object to that processing at any time. If you send us messages via our contact form, your data will be forwarded to us by the service provider Formspree.io Inc. for the purpose of processing your request. The transmission to Formspree.io Inc. is carried out via the HTTPS protocol. As a result, we receive an unencrypted e-mail from Formspree.io Inc. with the data you entered. Note that Formspree.io only stores the 100 most recently sent messages. After that, the messages are deleted. Formspree.io Inc. is a service provider based in the USA. The level of data protection in the USA does not correspond to the level of data protection in the EU/EEA. We embed videos and photos on our websites that are not stored on our own servers. When you access a page containing such videos and photos, content is loaded from the third-party provider that supplies them. Consequently, the third-party provider receives information that you have accessed our page, along with the usage data that is technically necessary in this context.
We have no influence over how the third-party provider processes this data.

You may register to receive our newsletter on our website. Please note that we require certain data (your e-mail address at the minimum) to complete the newsletter registration. We will only send the you the newsletter if you have given us your express consent. After you have completed the newsletter registration on our website, you will receive a confirmation e-mail at the e-mail address you provided (double opt-in).You may withdraw your consent at any time. In the context of our projects, we may obtain personal data about you from publicly available sources. This primarily concerns professional information published in connection with your role within associations, organizations or institutions. Such data may include your name, position, professional e-mail address and organizational affiliation. Sources include in particular the websites of professional and interest associations, organizations in the agricultural and food sector, as well as comparable public registers. The processing is carried out solely for the purpose of contacting relevant stakeholders in the framework of our projects, in particular to invite them to workshops and events and to integrate their perspectives into analyses and policy recommendations. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Data will only be shared with third parties where this is necessary for the implementation of the respective project, for example with project partners or funding institutions. We retain this contact data only for the duration of the respective project and delete it after its completion, unless you object earlier. You have the right to object to this processing at any time (Art. 21 GDPR). In such case, we will no longer use your contact data for these purposes.
